MH Series Chapter12~ A Midsummer Nights Scream

She heard his shouts way before she saw him. She turned around after hearing her name being called.

He was running towards her as fast as his broken ankle would carry him, so with a slight limp. The frosty wind blew his dark hair out of his face making him appear so much younger than he usually looks.

He stopped in front of her standing easily a foot above her, panting for air; Rosie knew Seamus was never one for exercise.

She stood her ground. “W-what do you want Seamus?” After he so abruptly left after they were having what seemed like a very deep moment she wasn't really in the mood to talk more.

He kept silent for a moment still trying to catch his breath. His usually straight dark hair was tousled, most of it falling back away from his face, and small spiky fly always sticking out every which way tangling in the splinters sticking our oddly from his head.  

He let out a slow breath and said. “I want you to kiss me.”

Rosie just about fell over backwards after hearing such an odd request. But instead of turning and running like she would have usually she stepped forward.

He was so tall compared to her. She grabbed at the dark haired mansters leathery jacket and pulled herself closer. She arched her feet and balanced on the toes of her boots to give herself more height. Seamus pushed her mask off her face gently and then his hands slid down to hold her face with a tenderness Rosie would have never expected from him.

Their lips met. It wasn’t brief and awkward like her last kiss, with Trey, this was different. They were alone outside in the cold weather. One of his hands dropped to her waist and pulled her closer and Rosie could feel the warmth off of Seamus’s body, she enjoyed it, keeping her warm in the light snowfall. Even with the smell of blood from his clothes and skin she could smell the sweat he had worked up after running and the musty smell of that leather jacket. She liked it.

And they kissed. And kissed. And kissed.

By the time their lips parted, Seamus was practically supporting the full weight of Rosie in his arms. She was barely still on her tip toes. Her arms were around his broad chest and her head was nuzzled into his shirt, she took extra care to avoid any stray splinters sticking out of his chest.

This is so wrong… is it? If it is then why do I feel so comfortable? I am uncomfortably comfortable with this. Rosie thought as she snuggled into Seamus.

Why did I have a problem with him in the first place? He had never hurt me, never tried to hurt me, now that I think he probably hasn't even thought about wanting to hurt me. Rosie’s memories darted through her mind.

He’s rude, but that’s just him, it’s just what he’s like. There must be a reason for it, I want to find out. Rosie’s mind began defending Seamus’s blunt personality.  

Rosie pulled away from him. She looked up at his pale face; he was sort of handsome under his hair. His wild blue eyes looked almost sad, probably because Rosie pulled away.

Was he that scared of rejection?
She thought before tip-toeing again so she could kiss him again. This time she didn't have to be asked. She wanted to, she really wanted to.
