The Journey of Trelice

So does everyone know what I say to people who like my art? Practice makes perfect.

April 2020

4 years since I've draw a fullbody to contribute to this! I've pulled away from the MH style and that is simply due to lack of practice, hence why there also isn't much of a huge improvement for a difference of 4 years. I don't draw anywhere near as much as I used too or as much as I would like to but I am determined to get back into it and really expand my skills. 
Also how is Trelice nearly a 10 year old character! That is blowing my mind!

September 2010
I basically joined the MH community on stardoll.com (as that is how I found MH) I was in a role playing club. You made a character and RP-ed, my character who I named Trelice-Moonbeam was just based off of my medoll at the time (hence why she has random bright red hair and a blue bow).

November 2010
I decided to stalk out deviantart and saw other people making their characters, very early in the MH community, and decided to draw my own, with a provided base of course, I didn't like the progress so I never bothered uploading her.

December 2010

I had obtained photoshop at this point, I had drawn multiple OC's, including Clous and Cass, before I drew Trelice on PS. gomamon4life.deviantart.com/ar…

Still not satisfied with the low quality picture I had drew. I started to draw Trelice again. This is were my Art Block for her begins I just couldn't finish it. After this I seriously considered dropping her before I moved to MarianasMasterpiece

January 2013
Although Trelice never left as one of my OC's, I could just never bring myself to draw her, I had improved a lot and all of my other OC's were getting plently of new art drawn on Paint Tool SAI, then one day I was like; "Hell, I am going to draw Trelice." I literally had to use a base to get myself to draw her.

April 2013
After throwing around sketch pads thinking up poses and personality traits for Trelice, as she was a very flat OC, I had finally come up with a design I love. I redrew all of my OC's for 2013 and out of all of them Trelice was by far my favourite.

December 2014
My OC's are being redraw again for the new year. While I was drawing/colouring I didn't really think there was much improvement to the last time I had drawn Trelice full body in her base outfit. I seem to have proven myself wrong because I can see a vast difference between how I drew her, almost two years ago, and how I drew her here.  

October 2016
Yet again my OC's have had their reboot and I think the line work is elephant in the room. I have drastically changed how I do my lineart recently and honestly I find it improves the style greatly over all. I'm really happy with how Trelice turned out and she has finally given the blue bow the boot :c

Trelice is 13 years old! which is as old as I was when I first created her character. What nostalgia to draw Trelice again! Every time I add to this I think there isn't much improvement, especially because I haven't drawn much for 3 years I think my mostly my patience has improved so I take my time with my drawings, but I'm glad to see a difference in quality especially when their all lined up like this. I would love to show this to past me to show how far my abilities will grow and that I will still be drawing Monster High (and buying dolls with my grown up money lol) 13 years later.

She has come quite a way and I am very happy with how she is. I love her history and looking at my progress.
